IVA-W200Ri AV Head Unit Features 2-DIN Stealth Design

Alpine Electronics has launched its highly anticipated inaugural double-DIN AV head unit, the IVA-W200Ri DVD/CD/MP3/WMA receiver with 6.5-inch PulseTouch™ touch-screen monitor.

This new in-dash AV head unit, designed to fit well into today's increasingly popular double-DIN dash, is an easy to use, flexible unit that offers integrated control over multiple entertainment and driving aid components. From digital media sources such as iPod™ and virtually any shiny disc, including DVD audio, to surround-sound components or navigation, consumers can play and control them all through the IVA-W200Ri.

The IVA-W200Ri monitor features Alpine's proprietary third-generation PulseTouch technology, which gives the user tactile feedback confirmation when the on-screen buttons or slider controls are tapped or stroked. Because the touch-screen feature reduces the need for fixed buttons on the unit, the IVA-W200Ri has a clean 'stealth' appearance with only a few slim buttons on its bottom frame. Its sleek design makes it easy to visually and physically integrate into almost any double-DIN dash. The monitor's SwingFace™ design allows the entire faceplate to swing down, revealing the disc slot. The SwingFace monitor also allows the driver to adjust the viewing angle to accommodate different heights and avoid any issues of glare off the screen.

Easy, Full-System Control and High-Resolution Audio Playback
In addition to PulseTouch, the IVA-W200Ri has straightforward and fast advanced search capabilities. Direct iPod playback is via Alpine's Full Speed Connection. Artist, album, song and playlist information is displayed on the IVA-W200Ri monitor and data can be accessed at a faster transmission speed than previous solutions. The W200Ri also has Percentage Search, an exclusive feature that assigns sections of iPod files to the scroll bar on the bottom of the display monitor, allowing for quick navigation of the iPod. Alpine's Quick Search feature enables users to navigate through media content with easy-to-use controls.

The IVA-W200Ri's 24-bit DAC reproduces accurate sound and superior resolution from CDs. Six discrete channels provide an especially natural audio reproduction, the way the music artist intended. Experience 5.1 multi-channel surround sound when playing DVD-Audio discs with the help of the unit's integrated DTS™, Dolby Digital™ and Dolby Pro Logic II™ support. The IVA-W200Ri also features on-screen control of Alpine's PXA-H701 digital processor, and MRA-D550 and MRA-F350 theatre amplifiers.
