The Mobile Media Specialist Association is not currently accepting paid memberships and our previous offer to members is now withdrawn. However, if you are a retailer that truly specialises in supplying and installing in-car audio/video equipment, electronic security devices, mobile office products, satellite navigation systems and/or other driving aids, you can be listed on the Installation Specialists pages of the MMSA web site.
You must have retail premises with on-site fitting facilities.

InCarExpert.co.uk
As a separate initiative, a web site has been established under www.incarexpert.co.uk. This is run independently of the MMSA, though in association with it. It highlights in-car products available from Amazon shops. InCar Expert retailers can dip into the world of ecommerce by signing up with Amazon.co.uk for their Pro Merchant account, which allows them to host a shop within the Amazon marketplace.
An Amazon shop offers good value and provides a full solution of an easily updated ecommerce web site with full reporting, Amazon's own payment gateway, and the benefit of being within the well known Amazon marketplace (reducing the need for separate online marketing, which you would have to do if you ran a standalone web site of your own and expected anyone to find it!). A feed from the Amazon database into incarexpert.co.uk allows the products to be viewed and promoted also on the InCarExpert web site, which adds in-car news, consumer advice and highlights weekly and other offers.
It is important to note that some distributors discourage retailers from selling their products via certain online marketplaces, such as eBay and Amazon. We respect this and in turn strongly discourage any retailers from trying to circumvent agreements with suppliers.
We also acknowledge that some suppliers and retailers will frown on even the suggestion of offering in-car electronics - products that in most cases require at least some installation knowledge - online. But the world we now live in is one where buying online is, for many, their first option. As specialists we either embrace it or lose out to it. Amazon can provide a practical, affordable way for those looking to get into online sales, without big investment and the need for correspondingly big turnover to make it all viable. It also provides a way to attract and up-sell customers so they come in to your store - customers who would have otherwise simply been lost to another online seller.
